Spiritual Satirist

Dr. Roslynn L. Guyton/Writer, Director and Producer   
Dr. Roslynn L. Guyton was born in Longview, Texas. She is the fourth of seven children born to Rev. and Sis. Robert Hamilton. Like her mother, she was blessed with the gift of singing.
    At the age of 30, Dr. Guyton, a single mother of five children on welfare, broke out of the welfare statistics. Returning to school, she received her G. E. D., attended the police academy, and finished third in her class. She became a deputy constable with the Harris County Constable Department (precinct 7). She has over 2100 hours of Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement training. She has received many certifications in law enforcement. Dr. Guyton is a licensed TCLOSCE, instructor in Texas Family and Juvenile Law. She taught this course at the Houston Community College. She received her certificate as a Master Peace Officer from the Texas Educational board of Law Enforcement. She has attended courses in Criminal Psychology. Completing 270-hours of training as a certified LCDC. She served in Law Enforcement for 15 years, now retired; she is serving in God’s ministry full time.
In addition to her skills in Law Enforcement, she is also, a Certified Christian and Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Dr. Guyton is a licensed Christian Counselor, certified Mediator for the DRC (Dispute Resolution Center). Dr. Guyton continued in the study of psychology and received her doctorate’s degree in Theology and Human Behavioral Science from, Cornerstone University. She has written and produced over 10 Gospel Stage Plays. She is the writer and producer of her own TV show, “The Place” and of the Gospel Soap Opera via radio, “Gospel Hill. Also, she is now writing her first publish book, “The Making of a Witness for the Lord”. And, her upcoming movie, “UNSHAMED FOREVER”. Now under the Diversionary leadership of Pastor Rev. Dr. Bennit E. Hayes of Gloryland Baptist Church, Houston, Tx. She’s a student and teacher of the Word of God. She continues to travels around the country, evangelizing to the people how God brought her from a 13 year old, abused wife, a welfare supported, mother of five with low-esteem, shame and mental dejection, to the spiritual awaking and empowerment of God. What a Powerful testimony she carries. 
In 1997 through a vision that GOD gave to her husband at that time (Pastor Melvin Barnes) Dr. Guyton begun to write, produce a weekly Gospel soap opera, via radio called “Gospel Hill” (once aired on 1590 KYOK and 1140 am, KCOH 1430am Houston, Texas). Also, aired on KZRB am 103.5 Hooks, Texas, Allen (Baby Boy) Shepard, and 1360 Milwaukee, WI. This spiritual empowered program is being heard in four states. Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Hosted by the ever-loving and wise Mama Jo’ who, tells of the struggles that pastors, and Christian’s face in their everyday lives. Mama Jo’ is viewed as everyone mother/ grandmother. Her wisdom overshadows our hearts to do that which God requires of us. Along with her words of wisdom and inspiration mixed with humor, she also possesses a spirit moving voice that some say, echoes the sounds of Mahalia Jackson. Mama Jo’ is taking the world by storm! We just can’t tell it all now, but the book is being written!!!

Every Sunday Evening at 7:00 P.M. Also you can listen on PMR (Power Moves radio) check station for times. Once was once airing in four states. Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Now praying for Television! Hosted by the ever-loving and wise Mama Jo’, who tells of the struggles that Pastors, Churches and Christians face in their everyday lives. Mama Jo’ is viewed as everyone’s mother/ grandmother. Her acumen overshadows our hearts to do that which God requires of us. Rustic Mama Jo’, the gospel humorist is the throwback to simpler times when “the entire village” raised the children and elders were respected.
Mama Jo’, will explode into a song as a means of finishing a thought or cementing her conviction to bring the unsaved God’s saving grace.
It is this trans-version that completes the Mama Jo’ persona in such a way as to rock churches and any other houses across America and abroad. Her voice is strong, rumbling yet melodically and captivating. Mixing the musical chords of country church, pew-stomping gospel with bluez-jazz undertones that may catch the sinner off guard, but God on call!  
She expounds epitaph of wisdom form through personal spiritual knowledge of her God and past trials of life. Flavors with statistical quips of humor that get point across to whoever is in earshot, she cautions… THAT IF YOU BE RIGHT, GOD WILL CAUSE YOUR RIGHT TO COME BACK TO YOU”.
